Dead Zone

Dead Zone is a science-fiction and suspense series.
The story
It presents Johnny Smith, who discovers he has developed weird psychic abilities after an extremely long coma ( he is involved in a car accident that leaves him comatose for seven years. Johnny begins having visions of both the past and the future by touching items or people.
The doctors attribute the visions to activity in a previously unused “dead zone” of his brain that is trying to compensate for the impaired function of the portions injured in the accident. Johnny also discovers that his girlfriend, Sarah, gave birth to his son but has since married another man.
With Sara’s help and a physical therapist, Johnny begins using his abilities to help resolve crimes. However, his attempts to do good are complicated by intermittent visions of some weird apocalyptic events that happen after the future eection of a famous congressional Candidate.
This show is based on characters from Stephen King’s 1979 novel The Dead Zone. It has first aired in 2002 and is produced by Lions Gate television and CBS PARAMOUNT Television for the USA Network.
Some informations about the production.
The show was originally commissioned for UPN (a famous network, but it later dropped the show , and it was picked up by USA. The series was shot in Vancouver, British Coluùmbia and Canada for its first five seasons. For the sixth season, production jumped across the country to Montreal.
After six seasons, the series was canceled in December 2007.
