The show follows the lives of two plastic surgeons, Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) and Christian Troy (Julian McMahon).

In its debut season, Nip/Tuck was the highest-rated new series on American basic cable, and the highest rated basic cable series of all time for the 18-49 and 25-54 age demographics.

The show inspired the creation of the plastic surgery reality show Dr. 90210.

Series creator Ryan Murphy has stated that the medical cases featured on the show are “100 percent based on fact”.

Dylan Walsh and Julian McMahon are plastic surgeons and they are themselves in full-blown midlife crises as they confront career, family, romance problems… The stories of this first season are funny, but also suspenseful and uncommonly powerful. The sexuality is very present and the surgeries are graphically bold.

• About Season Two :

The two plastic surgeons return as the elite plastic surgery of McNamara/Troy whose skill at giving others perfect bodies contrasts with the doctor’s imperfect personal lives. Troy falls in love with a self-assured blind woman and McNamara dates a porn star. From painful revelations to powerful moments and astonishing truths, the second season is a total success !
